Before I forget
I tossed out the disaster I created. I was totally displeased with the results and I wasn't going to try dying that yarn again and I certainly wasn't going to use it for anything. I haven't had time to try again and it might be that I shall just keep buying other people's successes.

Oh no, you have the courage to try which is more than I can say for myself. I've wanted to try dying my own yarn for ages, but I'm a big chicken.
I'm not quite done trying yet. I just don't have a lot of free time at the moment so I haven't tried again. But, one of these days . . .
